πŸ’— Happy Sunday πŸ’— And welcome to the new foll πŸ’— Happy Sunday πŸ’— And welcome to the new followers πŸ‘‹
.
Something short about me. I am now 33 and was diagnosed with scoliosis at age 14. Yes, had a brace for a year. After 18y old, I sort of my scoliosis (as a lot of us seem to do). This went ok, for a while, but I ended up in chronic back pain between 27-30y old. Because I didn't want to stay in pain and give up on my future, I started to learn about the body, mind and what health means.
.
Because I was able to heal myself, in so many ways. Though still have scoliosis, but no pain or fear towards it anymore. I became a certified Yoga for Scoliosis teacher and IIN Health Coach, because I would hate it if anyone else went through the hell I went through. So that's why I am here.
.
So if you are ready to start your journey. Make sure to be signed up for my newsletter! Link in bioπŸ’—

Let's go back. The OG's here on Instagram know when #scoliosiswarrior was a big thing. (And maybe it still is, but I am getting older πŸ€ͺ) Anyways it always bothered me. From the start. Because this implies that you are fighting something. Which is not at all helpful.
πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ
Instead I thought, I want to build a loving relationship with my body and learn how to listen to it and support it. More like an ally. Because the scoliosis is mine. In my body. And my mind-body connection is what makes everything happen in it.

Do you still feel like you are fighting yourself and your scoliosis? Or are you in a loving relationship with yourself?

Honestly this is daily work for me still. So it is a process and our lovely community is here to support you πŸ’—

Let's redefine perfect.πŸ’— Maybe it all depends o Let's redefine perfect.πŸ’— Maybe it all depends on the moment, the person and the environment.
πŸ’—
Instead of using external forces to describe a fixed sense of perfect. Let's use internal sources to see what is perfect for you in this moment. And that this may change.
πŸ’—
There is always so much discussion about letting go of perfect. But why not redefine it? I love to find the nuance in things and see what it means to me. So this is my way of dealing with perfect. And also knowing that at one moment it might have seem perfect, while looking back it wasn't at all. Still perfect insight in that moment. Let go of the fixed way if looking at perfect and give it flow πŸ’—

Turmeric is a great anti inflammatory agent and even battles nerve pain. It is common used in ayurveda and there are some western medical studies about its effect. It is a common spice in Indian cooking too.

You can add ginger as well, for an extra spicy and antibacterial kick.

What do you do to soothe yourself when you are on your period?
