Attract who aligns with you instead of forcing you Attract who aligns with you instead of forcing yourself to fit in 💫

Especially when we are Highly Sensitive, we might overstep many of our boundaries in order to 'fit in' with society or possibly within relationships. And then we wonder why we feel so drained.

It is because we are not true to ourselves.

It can be tough to let go of what we think we need to do. Especially if we are people pleasers too. And step into our own needs and ways of being.

Some things that don't serve us anymore, we will lose. Which might create feelings of grief. Which we will need to give space to process and not overstep it. However, in return we will gain many things and relationships that align more with who we are.

Always find guidance in this process. Whether it is family or friends that do see you as you are or a coach or other type of professional. We shouldn't do this alone 💖

Finally someone that can help me with scoliosis corrections 🥰

Alex and I found each other through Instagram around 7 years ago ☺️ At that time we were both struggling with our scoliosis, but determined to learn more about it. In 2018 we finally met in person for our Yoga for Scoliosis Training. And now I finally got to visit her at her home.

Grateful for our connection🤗❤
We are also trying to figure out how to organize Yoga for Scoliosis workshops throughout Europe. It will take some time for us to figure it out, but it would be so fun to finally come together with other people with scoliosis ❤❤❤
Thank you Alex for the great time!

My face right after surgery to remove my breast im My face right after surgery to remove my breast implant that I had for 11 years.

Today is exactly 1 year, since the surgery.🎉

I see relieve and a lighter feel on my face of finally having these toxic bags out of my body.

2d pic is when I had them. Most people never noticed. But I knew. And at first I was happy with them, and I understand my decision of getting them, since my own boobs have always been very little. But I wish I would have known of the impact on my health and that it made me feel less myself. Less authentic.

Both getting the implants and taking them out was a recovery journey. And looking back this is what I regret the most. Putting my body willingly through an unnecessary surgery. This is traumatic for the body. With all I know now and how I try to take care of my health, I would never do it again.

I haven't shared much about my journey with breast implants. The recovery process took over 6 months. And my yoga practice still needs patience, with my chest muscles having shifted.

Nowadays I see that this decision for breast implants is still made too easily and that there is not enough focus on educating what this means to your health and no conversation yet about underlying feelings of self-worth.

So I am still finding my way in how to share more, educate more and hopefully inspire more women to feel beautiful as they are. Because women are amazing, magical and hold so much love💖💗💖

If you ever have any questions about this topic or have tips for me to share this journey. Always grateful to hear from you. 💖🙏💫

It is never to late to start doing what makes you It is never to late to start doing what makes you happy 💙💜
For a long time, I saw being sensitive as a burden For a long time, I saw being sensitive as a burden. Until I learned to nurture my gift and make it my strength.

Key in this process was noticing what beliefs I had about my sensitivity. Which were rooted in my upbringing and the general extroverted world, that doesn't get my pace.

By first acknowledging this, I got to unwind these patterns and look more into my personal needs. This is a process. With trial and error. But in the end I am coming closer to me. My own authenticity in living in this weird, f****d up, magical world.

My Favorite Yoga Tools

My Favorite Yoga Tools

Yoga tools are necessary to support your practice in Yoga for Scoliosis. As I started my journey, I noticed how important the type of yoga tools is. Those who know me, know I am also very particular and principle in my choices. Therefore, I would like to share my findings with you.

These were the criteria I was looking for:

  • Yoga mat – sticky, no give, durable and light weight
  • Yoga blocks – Larger than usual (10 x 15 x 23 cm) and light weight
  • Yoga strap – Iyengar design, at least 4 cm wide and 2 m long
  • Yoga blankets – thick, strong and sturdy
  • Little pads

You can use these criteria yourself when looking for yoga tools. Or just take a look at my favorite brand Manduka.

Yoga Mat

For their yoga mats they have a lot of options! You can even do a test on their website to figure our which one will support your practice the most. At this moment I have the ProLite Yoga Mat and the EKO Travel Mat. The first one I have at home for my daily practice and the second I usually have on top. Mostly because of the lines I have drawn on them. The Travel Mat is great, because I can just fold it up and put it in my back pack. So if I travel or teach at the studio it is easy to bring with me.

Yoga blocks, strap and more

Their yoga blocks are my all time favorite! And I have tested so many. They have the right size, weight and rounded corners, which makes them comfortable to grip. Plus they have a lot of colors. Which I love, because my practice space should inspire me and I just love to work with colors to support my mood.

Especially when you go more into traction in your yoga for scoliosis practice, you will know how important a good yoga strap is. When I took classes in the USA, they had a lot of different props available. And it took me sometime to find the right ones here in the EU, the Netherlands. So I was happy when I found out Manduka was launching this Align Yoga Strap. Perfect for our practice.

For Yoga blankets I still have to find the perfect brand. At home I use Mexican blankets or big beach towels. So this is great to use, if you already have some at home.

Also for the little pads, I just use wash cloths or guest towels. These work fine for me and I can adjust in height myself. Since every scoliosis and every day is different, this works well for me.
